The Dog Days of Summer

Yes, we know that our 85-90 degree heat is nothing compared to those of you in Texas and California...but with no A.C. and a little munchkin that wiggles and wrestles and snuggles and moves all the time...we have been sweating like dogs. The heat has caused us to be outside most the time in the city pools or splash pads, playgrounds, area lakes, or just on the front porch. Oak has been shoeless and dirty most days...and we love it! Just yesterday, though, our humidity broke and everyone was out and breathing the fresh air...saying, "this is why we live in Michigan!" One of those beyond gorgeous days.
Daddy and me at the beach...
Grampy, it's just so hot...may I just lay here?
Look at me, guys...I can walk with my wagon...
I've just been so tired from playing so much lately that I tend to fall asleep sitting up...yes, that is my head between my legs!
Hangin' in the front yard... I am walking all over when I can hold on to something...but haven't taken those big first steps on my own yet!

Thanks for sending me this link. I am excited to look it all over when I have a minute to spare. Oak looks so cute in his sleeping picture.

Oh, and guess what, I'm CONSIDERING going back to the sprinkler park today but I hate doing stuff like that by myself. The kids had a great time. Thanks for getting us out there :)

I am missing Oak and his cheeks. Are you squeezing his cheeks for me? Big hugs to you all. I love you! Suzanne
