We were so excited to be able to take a 3-day trip to the windy city last week...the weather was supposed to be cold and snowy, and God blessed with sunny and 50's...we were so thankful. We showed Oak our old neighborhoods and small and exactly the same restaurants that we loved when we lived there 10 years ago, and we got to walk all over the city and go to the zoo, children's museum, parks, Navy Pier, the history museum and many of our favorite places. We love every place we have lived because of the people, culture, food, and memories...but Chicago will always be our favorite BIG CITY! And Oak is definitely our boy...he took note of every bus, truck, and train he saw. He loved walking down the sidewalks hand in hand with us amidst the traffic, big buildings and throngs of people. It was such a great respit for us as a family during a very busy season in our lives...what a joy!

What a great opportunity to get away . . . you all look wonderful (Liz, I'm loving your baby bump!) And Oak is definitely daddy's little man. Missing you mucho!
Love,
Sarah
P.S. Katie sat on my lap when I viewed these the first time, and she was mesmerized by each Oak picture. Hmmmm!! :-)
Such cute pictures. Liz, I can happily say, my tummy is smaller than yours . . . but remember - I've had a little help along the way. :-) You look GREAT!!! I looks like your family shared a lot of smiles and laughs. Miss you always! xoxo
